Hey, I’m Charlotte, I’m most known for winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics in Bmx Freestyle for Team GB. I was born in Manchester England, and now find myself state side in State College PA, with my husband, dog and incredible friends.

I was always an active kid who tried all sports. After watching in awe my older brother ride skateboards I found my own extreme sport at the time, stunt scooters. I was addicted, it wasn’t until I was 20 and working full time in a kitchen that I switched to a Bmx, which just happened to be perfect timing for the Olympics, a happy accident!

Since the that fateful time I’ve had a wild run with highs and lows; shortly after winning I was awarded an MBE (Member Of The British Empire) by Prince William for my services to the sport & country, and proceeded to set women’s records in the sport - However, in the run up to the Paris 2024 Olympics I hit a diabolical burnout and identity crises, realising the way I was treating myself, physically and mentally, was not sustainable. I went from first, to last.

With lots of help from some amazing people, I learned some valuable lessons during that time; like why I loved my sport, what my values were and true self love (You might call it an ego death!).

These days I’m enjoying my sport with a new perspective, aspiring to live a more balanced life of excellence, adventures and lifting others in our little community, and on a new journey building a life in the USA.
